The use of a mircocomputer during a practical Physics course
In this article you will find a discussion of results of a field-experiment in which pupils aged 16 to 18 (of general secondary and pre-university schools) carry out an experiment which is connected with a microcomputer. We held an enquiry before and after the experiment. The pupils were observed in their execution of the experiment and afterwards they answered a number of test-questions. Opinions, and the change of opinion, of the pupils before and after the experiment are investigated here. Furthermore the learning effect of the experiment and the behaviour of the pupils while they were doing the experiment are considered. Using the microcomputer in the practical work of the physics lessons appears to be not only possible but also useful, particularly in order to convey a correct and up-to-date concept of physics and physical research to pupils.
