Lift project on Lesson Study

Lesson Study In Future Teacher Education in Europe (LIFT)

Stimulating innovative learning and teaching practices among pre-service teachers

Erasmus+ KA-220 funding

Abstract

LIFT aims at developing a European blueprint for the introduction of the ‘Lesson Study’ approach in Initial Teacher Education (ITE) across Europe. The proposal contains a number of strong elements, such as a detailed needs analysis, which allows for a clear problem definition. The general project set-up is well-constructed and the iterative output production should lead to the development of relevant and qualitative project output. Finally, the ambition and expertise of all individual partners, as well as the strong networks they can build on should positively influence the potential impact, dissemination and sustainability of the LIFT project. Overall, the LIFT-partnership is considered a strong application, containing the necessary elements and structures to allow for a successful outcome.
