In this talk we will discuss two approaches about how to account for computational thinking demands when analyzing tasks; identifying aspects of computational thinking that are encouraged by different features of tasks. If a task is domain specific, e.g., statistics, should we focus on the interplay between statistical thinking and computational thinking frameworks? Or should we only consider computational thinking concepts like decomposition, abstraction, algorithmic thinking and generalization? Or should we consider both?
