BSRLM is for people interested in research in mathematics education and provides a supportive and inclusive environment for both new and experienced researchers to develop their ideas.
Autumn Conference 2025
In November (7-8) 2025, there is a plan for a joint conference of two mathematics education research communities: a Dutch delegation of researchers in mathematics education, comprised of the Freudenthal Institute and other colleagues from the country, and the BSRLM (British Society for Research into Learning Mathematics). This joint conference will be hosted by the BSRLM in the UK, as the current chair of the BSRLM, Prof. Alf Coles, invited researchers to join the BSRLM annual conference and make it into a joint conference.
In-depth discussions with leading researchers in the field, who have tremendously influenced the international mathematics education research community, in an intimate and focused setting (including scholars such as Anne Watson, John Mason, Keith Jones, Taro Fujita, Jeff Evans, and many others). In today’s turbulent climate, where external pressures increasingly attempt to shape academic discourse, fostering strong, collaborative research networks is more critical than ever.
