Online RME workshop – Looking forward to the 2022 Summer School

The next Summer School on Mathematics Education at Freudenthal Institute, Utrecht University, the Netherlands is planned for summer 2022. The focus of the Summer School is on refreshing and deepening the knowledge of meaningful and relevant mathematics education with respect to contemporary curriculum development and research in the field of mathematics education.

Already on the 11th of February, 2022, 13-16 pm, CET time zone, we invite young researchers, mathematics teachers, and teacher educators to participate in an online workshop to get acquainted with the summer school focus and inspiration (max 60 participants).

13:00 – A lecture on Realistic Mathematics Education (RME) by prof. dr. Paul Drijvers

14:00 – Three workshops in parallel:

Workshop A: Mathematics in Teams: creativity experience and inspiration
Workshop B: Design Research: from an idea to a new learning material
Workshop C: RME-based curricula at the tertiary level
