This workshop will focus on harnessing the power of Micro:bit, a pocket-sized programmable computer, as a versatile tool for hands-on learning experiences. Through interactive sessions, participants will explore how to incorporate Micro:bit into various STEAM subjects, fostering creativity, problem-solving, and computational thinking skills among students. Whether you’re new to Micro:bit or seeking fresh ideas for your classroom, this workshop promises valuable insights and practical strategies to enhance your teaching practice and inspire the next generation of innovators.
Over the short time given we will make fun little programs for various subjects of a school, not only programming but mathematics and even geography. Maybe you could share how you use it in your classroom too?

Presenter

Paulius Briedis is a founder of Robotikos mokykla, pioneering STEAM education in Lithuania and helping businesses build tailored robots for more than 15 years. Paulius has co-authored several textbooks with the team of Robotikos mokykla, seeking to teach hard technological subjects easier. His specialties include inventing, electronics, mechanical design. While teaching he likes using tools such as Arduino, Micro:Bit, Virtual reality, CAD design and 3D printing.

Robotikos mokykla has helped to spin out more than 5 companies of which Paulius has co-founded 3D printer distributor and innovator UAB Gaminu, Nextury Ventures based 3D printed figurines market Toyze, as well as engineering company that has helped a lot to the medical sector during covid UAB RM7, currently specializing in combining artificial intelligence and mechanics for advertising.

Currently Paulius is leading a team writing a textbook for building water filtering drone boats in high schools of Estonia, Romania, Italy, Lithuania.
